DAY 4: P.wall’s song of the day. can you give me your thoughts on this song?

for those who liked ‘pinback’ i highly recommend the self-titled, and the ‘blue screen life’ albums, as ‘rckets’ said the ‘touch and go’ albums aren’t so good, but ‘summer in abaddon’ wasn’t that bad.

so today, bill callahan aka smog. who is a singer song writer noted for his uniquely deep voice, and abstract wringing style.
this song is from a folk album he put out.
i will warn you that this is a very down tempo song, but if you have ever hit rock bottom and been rescued by your family, it may pull on those heart strings.

praise it or hate it, i don’t care, but just take a listen and add a comment.
sorry to miss quote you rckets, but the new pinback album hasn’t grown on me yet.
also i don’t think he commits suicide, i think his family rescues him from the mirky depths of addiction.

I seem to like each day’s song better than the one from the day before.

Personally, I like down-tempo songs (The Cure is my favorite band, and their darker stuff is my favorite), and this one was one I could relate to.

I also loved the visuals. I am posting a link to my response to the visuals from the Smog song. You will recognize my response–it’s just that that was the first thing I thought of as I watched.
