Does anyone know if Kroehler brand furniture is well made? I am looking at a sofa they make at Value City.?

The sofa is called the Halston. I don’t want to buy something that is cheaply made. It seems to be well constructed, but I don’t know much about furniture. Please let me know if you have any details about Kroehler furniture. Thanks!

No, it is ECONOMICALLY made, but if you want something better you have to spend more money. Kroehler is made in North Carolina by AMERICANS so think about that when you buy. The frames are generally made of plywood, which is far better than the junk other cheap manufacturers use (MDF, particleboard, styrofoam), and use no-sag suspensions which are typical for most production upholstery. You can probably get at least five, maybe ten years out of a Kroehler sofa. Generally, if you have children, you get less use; if you choose a better fabric (or at least, one that makes sense for your particular situation–like dark colors for kids, or weaves that don’t look like they’ll fall apart) you get more use.
